Mrs. Q's Music News

Mrs. Q's Music News Hello Rolling Hills families! I am thrilled to one again to have the wonderful opportunity to be the Rolling Hills Music Artist in Residence. Thanks to the hard work of the Foundation, and the parent’s support of the fundraisers which the Foundation offers, all students grades TK-4 receive weekly general music instruction, with Bi-weekly instruction offered to all 5th grade students. It is interesting to note, we are one of the few schools in PUSD which offers this type of program at the elementary level. Your children are fortunate to have an opportunity to study music!!

During the last few months, the students have been learning much about music in Room 26. Click here to read a summary of a few elements of music each grade level has been learning about.

In The Computer Lab - November/December

In The Computer Lab

In The Computer Lab In the Computer Lab, TK & K are learning the ins and outs of logging in/out of our network using their own logins; launching/closing programs; and manipulating the mouse—then we will move on to tackle keyboarding!

With our 1st-5th graders, we are continually engaging our students to become successful keyboarders so they can do the work that will change the world! Learning proper keyboarding techniques will help them with automated testing; with writing projects; with collaborative online class work, etc. The focus will be on the work—not on finding keys on the keyboard! Read more.
