  • 1-hour Happy Hour with complimentary house-wine and beer, cash bar to follow.
  • Happy Hour starts at 6:00pm so arrive on time!
  • Photo booth.
  • Unlimited small bites such as from lamb chops, meatballs and assorted flatbreads, dessert and coffee.
  • A DJ playing the BEST 80’s hits.
  • Live and silent auctions.

Deadline to purchase tickets is April 22! Day-of tickets will not be available.

FAQ

Rolling Hills Elementary School has traditionally held a spring event and auction, which is one of the biggest fundraisers of the year. For the past few years, we have hosted “KidsFest” in connection with the auction. But 2020 is totally tubular, dude! This year, we are shaking things up and hosting an adults-only, 80’s themed gala and auction. This event will consist of silent and live auctions followed by dinner and dancing. All money raised helps to fund Rolling Hills Elementary’s educational and enrichment programs. This year our goal is to raise $25,000, which we will put towards our annual Foundation budget, as well as updated document cameras in the classrooms, a shade canopy for the K-1 playground, or an upgraded sound system for the MPR.

Wear your best 80’s attire, dude! It’s a rock prom after all! You can wear
a prom dress or your favorite heavy metal attire. Don’t feel like dressing
up? Grab some leg warmers, muscle shirts, or acid wash to wear.

Even though the gala is a totally awesome adults-only evening, we
still have a rad evening planned for our kids! We have an
affordable kids-night planned at Penasquitos Lutheran Church from
5:30pm-10:30pm. Kids will have toys and games to play as well as
structured activities. Plus, they will have fun with their friends!

Childcare is open to kids ages two and up. At this point, we do not
the price per child but will be able to give you a price once we
know how many kids are planning to attend.

Children will be cared for by high school volunteers who are
experienced babysitters, and will be overseen by PLC’s Children’s
Director and other 1 st -Aid and safety-certified adults.

$25 per person, for the first 90 people to purchase tickets. After
that, tickets will be $40 per person.

Teachers may purchase a ticket for $20 for themselves and one
additional guest. We have 30 tickets for teachers available at this
price. Please leave your payment in the Foundation box in the
office. Teachers may redeem two tickets at $20 each. We only
have 30 available at this price.

No. We would love to see RHES alumni families, your
neighbors, and your friends and family, who are at least 21 years
old. So, totally spread the word about this event, dude!

There will be a silent auction and a live auction. Live auction
items include big-ticket items, exceptional experiences and more.
Silent auction items include everything from special teacher
experiences, to music and sports lessons, to tickets and gift cards
to various restaurants or stores. The auction represents a major
portion of the total income for the Gala and it needs your help.

When you arrive at the Gala, you will receive a packet that will
contain a live auction catalog and your bid card. The bid card
will have your bidder number printed on it. You can bid on items
during the silent auction by accessing the auction website and
bidding on your phone.

This year, the Gala will feature a professional auctioneer, who
will conduct the live auction. To bid on a live auction item,
simply raise your bid card and one of the live auction spotters
will recognize and record your bid.

After the live auction has finished, successful bidders may
submit their payments and obtain their goods.

The silent auction will open at 6:00 p.m. Different sections of the
silent auction will close at various times, with the last one
closing at 7:30 p.m. The live auction will begin shortly
afterward. Dancing will start after dinner and continue until
midnight.
